Once satisfied with the fit, the frame was disassembled and preped for painting. Red oxide primer was sprayed on and allowed to dry for a few days. Yellow paint was then sprayed on in two coats and allowed to dry for a week. A couple of clear, dry days facilitated the painting process. The bottom edges of the wood frame pieces had not been spray painted. These areas were painted by hand after the other sides were dry. Rich W. did all the painting.

Here Rich W. is spraying on the red oxide primer.

The various frame members have been primered and are drying outside.

The freshly painted wood frame members.

A few feet away, the freshly painted steel frame members.
